Position Overview
Green Fin Studio specializes in environmental/science communication, and community engagement. Our name reflects our environmental core (“Green”), including our team’s connection to ocean and marine systems (“Fin), and the creativity that we bring to our work (“Studio).
We are seeking a self-motivated Operations Administrator to provide organizational and collaborative support. The position will provide support for organizational project management, contract implementation, grant management, creation of new/improved tracking systems, internal and external communications, meeting coordination, and general administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Operations Administrator will provide project management, internal and external coordination, and administrative product development (e.g., project reports and other templates, agendas, run of show documents, etc.). Specifically, the Operations Administrator will:
- Provide project management support by creating and maintaining tracking systems, clearly and proactively communicate schedules and deliverables within our team, and
- Provide administrative support to our team, including
- Helping to plan and coordinate programs and activities;
- Scheduling meetings, travel logistics, calendar invites, and assisting team in planning events;
- Assisting in keeping website updated and scheduling and posting on social media as needed
Pay Range and Hours:
The salary is expected to be in the $20/hr to $30/hr range depending on experience and qualifications. We anticipate this individual will work approximately 25 hours per week.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills. Currently, Green Fin Studio employees work on a hybrid schedule, requiring work in our Richmond office, and potentially infrequent travel to in person meetings and events throughout the mid-Atlantic.
Requirements include:
- An associates or undergraduate degree, ideally in the field of business management.
- Experience in organizational business management is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Availability to work during traditional business hours is preferred
- Fluency in speaking, writing, and editing English spoken and written language
- Knowledge of grant administration and reporting
- Computer proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (required) and experience with Quickbooks, Asana, Google Drive, SharePoint, and other software tools to improve operations and efficiency.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently (work at-home) or as a team
- Passion for our natural environment. Basic knowledge of natural resources/environmental science is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours, if necessary to meet a deadline or for events.
